Meet Lew
I am a 19-year resident of Macomb County, father of 5 children and grandfather of 5. My wife and I moved in 2011, so we could raise our children in Chippewa Valley Schools. We have had two children graduate from Chippewa Valley High School, our youngest daughter who just graduated from Dakota High School, and grandchildren that live in the district.
In 2020, my wife and I had concerns about the District and how things were being handled. We decided to get more involved and began regularly attending the school board meetings, along with educating ourselves with the curriculum that is being taught and the current affairs of our schools. The schools want to control and teach our children what the government wants them to know, how to act, feel and behave. Our schools and government should not be given this much control over our children. We need to get back to the basics: Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Life Skills & Physical Fitness and allow the parents to mold their child's moral compass.
I have since decided to run for Chippewa Valley School Board because we have watched the curriculum and testing results go down over the years. I believe we need to sharpen our pencils and get back to what really matters and that’s putting Children and Education First. I will work tirelessly to improve Chippewa Valley Public Schools, and bring normalcy back to education.
